Adetomiwa Fowowe, a final year law student at Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), stands as a passionate advocate. Most recently, he co-won the International Bar Association scholarship, to participate in the 2023 International Criminal Court Moot Competition—the first ever physical appearance for Nigeria. In 2022, Adetomiwa showcased his legal prowess as a semi-finalist in the African International Humanitarian Moot Court Competition, as well as winning the Best Defence Memorial. He has also won the best counsel award in the Ekiti State University Law Week Competition, 2021; as well as the AAUA Inter Chamber Competition, 2021. Tomiwa has also won the 2023 Fountain chambers inter-university essay competition. Beyond his legal accolades, Adetomiwa takes on leadership roles. He is currently the President of Intellectual Property Law Club, AAUA; holds a Senatorial position in the Students' Union Government, and serves as a Global Youth Ambassador for TheirWorld International Organization. He also served as the National Assistant Secretary General of the Law Students' Association of Nigeria, 2020. He made history by organizing a seminar for secondary school students at St. Catherine's College, imparting vital insights for university success—a first in the school's 20-year history. In 2021, he was recognized by the Virtual Impeccable Legal Award (VILA) as one of the top 50 exceptional and outstanding law undergraduates in Nigeria. Fowowe has authored over 20 papers, and has been invited to speak at over 6 webinars, seminars and workshops.
