The Intellectual Property Law Club, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-akoko (AAUA) was founded on the 6th of May, 2021 with the acknowledgement, backing and assistance of the Nigerian division of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for the purpose of promoting the knowledge of Intellectual Property amongst students, with steadfast regard to the corporate standard and vision of the Club.
This chapter is equally a bona fide member of the Nigerian Intellectual Property Club (NIPC) – a national body for all Intellectual Property clubs in Nigeria, and a registered Club at the Students’ Affairs of the University.
Notably, the launching of this Club had the nodding of the former Dean of the Faculty of Law, AAUA – Prof. E.A Taiwo at the 2020/2021 Meet the Dean’ program where the former Dean particularly commended the pioneer leadership of the Club for facilitating such an avenue for students to gain extra knowledge and insight on law related matters.
